Cylinder Musical Boxes
Cartel - the term used to describe a large format cylinder movement that is spring driven
Tabatiere - the term used to describe a small format cylinder movement that is spring driven and often known as a "Snuff Box Type"
Sectional Comb - teeth grouped in small numbers, four being common, were used in snuff boxes, often known as Tabatiére's. Often with a total of 70 teeth.
Manivelle - a small music box that is hand wound. The mechanism has gearing that rotates the cylinder in only one direction nomatter which way the wider is moved.
